Digital Research Infrastructure Webinar Series: Getting to know FAIRsharing
Wednesday 22 July
FAIRsharing is a manually curated, community-driven registry of data and metadata standards, interlinked with databases and data policies across all research disciplines. Whether you are helping a researcher choose the right repository for their dataset, advising on which metadata standard to adopt, or ensuring compliance with funder and publisher requirements, FAIRsharing is designed to make that guidance easier and more consistent. It empowers Data Stewards to signpost researchers toward the most relevant, high-quality resources, while providing producers with the visibility they need to ensure their tools are adopted and cited. FAIRsharing also acts as a service provider, powering third party tools by providing trustworthy content to promote standards and databases, including a variety of DMP planning and FAIR assessment/assistance tools.
About our guest speaker
Dr Allyson Lister is the FAIRsharing Content and Community Lead at the University of Oxford. With a background in computational biology, standards development and FAIR data practices, she leads the curation and community outreach for FAIRsharing’s global registry of standards, databases and policies. Allyson is an active contributor to the Research Data Alliance (RDA), where she co-chairs two working groups focused on enabling FAIR in the context of research standards and repositories across all disciplines.
