Digital Research Infrastructure Webinar Series: Getting to know EOSC and the PATH2EOSC UK project
Wednesday 23 June 2026
The Open Science Cloud (EOSC) has been in development over the past decade and aims to provide researchers across Europe with an open and trusted multi-disciplinary environment that supports the production, sharing and reuse of FAIR data. The UK has been involved in many European Commission funded projects to establish and implement EOSC but activity across the UK has been fragmented and there is a need to map past and current activities as well as to raise awareness of the potential benefits of EOSC among UK RPOs.
This webinar will introduce the concept of EOSC services and governance and provide an overview of the new PATH2EOSCUK project being undertaken by Jisc, DCC and UKRI between May-November 2026 to explore the creation of a UK EOSC node and to engage with the UK research infrastructure and support communities. Join the session to learn more about how you can get involved.UK is the United Kingdom’s national Node of ELIXIR, the European infrastructure for bioscience data. They are a distributed research infrastructure and a collaborative network, bringing together leading UK research-performing organisations and the people behind them.
This free webinar is open to all. Please reserve a ticket to receive joining information. The session will be recorded.
