Joy Davidson | 13 September 2011

Jenny Mitcham and Catherine Hardman, Archaeology Data Service (ADS) describe the ADS experience in applying for the Data Seal of Approval (DSA). This case study includes practical information about the DSA application process and also provides an overview of the issues ADS faced in undertaking the process and the potential benefits they envisage resulting from DSA self-certification. The study was produced as part of the DCC's involvement in the JISC and IMLS funded Closing the Digital Curation Gap (CDCG) project.
