DMPonline demo sessions: what will work for you?

As many of you already know this summer, we are running usability testing with Theo who is supervised by our colleague Diana. The reason behind this is that it has been some time since we introduced the charges to DMPonline and we want to re-visit the admin interface and ensure that it works well for you. I have joined some usability testing interviews and went through few recorded sessions and as a result I came up with the idea to run DMPonline demo sessions.

I am gradually putting together DMPonline tutorial videos for you - which are complimentary to our written guidance. These tutorial videos are hopefully nice extra resources where you will be able to listen and watch how certain features work while you replicate the same steps as you go. I was thinking though about something that could be more interactive, and you could ask me and/or my colleagues questions as we  demo a feature and hopefully by this, we ensure that each feature is explained better and you can ask questions which other administrators might have too.

I am planning to run these once a month and I was thinking they will last up to 60 minutes. The first ca 10 minutes will be taken by going through the feature and then we can go through each step in detail, we could even possibly offer break-out rooms so you can discuss more if there is appetite for this and towards the end we will wrap up and publish the session on YouTube so it is accessible to our wider community. Depending though on the effort spend on preparing DMPonline demo sessions it might be more often if you will find this useful and there will be enough demand for these. Since I would like to gather your responses first, I will start with the DMPonline demo sessions in September after everyone will hopefully have managed to take some annual leave and time away from the screen just so I can alter them the best to your needs and be responsive to the feedback that I will gather from you.

I am not sure what will you be most interested in to start with and therefore I am reaching out to you and asking you to participate in our short survey. My initial thought is to do these demo sessions from the administrator perspective, but it might be useful for you to also understand how users will go through DMPonline and I can only find out when you tell us.

I hope this will spark interest, please share with your colleagues and fill the short survey below by 21st August 2020:
