How to register for IDCC 24
Registration is now open for IDCC24 with multiple tickets available for purchase via Eventbrite.
We will use the contact details you provide there to send you further information about the conference.
Conference Fees
This year we have eight different ticket types available for in-person and online attendance. Registration will close a week before the event, on 11 February 2024.
Participation for the workshops organised on 19 February 2024 will be available to book closer to the date of the conference.
In-person tickets
In-person tickets cover onsite attendance for the main conference days on 20-21 February 2024 and the Drinks reception on the evening of 19 February 2024.
Online tickets
Online tickets cover online access to the conference platform and all live sessions throughout the main conference. Online attendants will have dedicated sessions for networking.
Ticket Types
1. DCC Associate
This category is for members of the DCC Associates Network only. There is no cost associated with becoming a DCC Associate so join the network and enjoy the benefits, which include:
- Being the first to hear about DCC news, events, and initiatives
- Enjoying discounts to take part in our international conference, IDCC and other events
- Having access to a network of over 500 members that support information sharing
After you join the network:
- You will receive a special code that will give you access to the discounted fee for IDCC24 on Eventbrite
- If you are already an Associate delegate, you will receive an email with the special code that will give you access to the discounted fee for IDCC24 on Eventbrite.
- If you have not received the discount code after becoming a DCC Associate, please contact info@dcc.ac.uk and we will be happy to help you
For registration, please input the discount code in the Promo Code field and click Apply. This will automatically show you the new price.
2. General Admission
This is the full price fee available to all delegates who are not members of the DCC Associates network.
For registration, please select ticket type: General admission – In person or General admission – Online on Eventbrite.
3. Student Delegate
To register as a student, please first get in touch with the DCC by emailing info@dcc.ac.uk . We will require proof of student status such as a copy of your student card or an official letter from your institution stating you are an enrolled full-time student.
Once we have received the letter, we will provide you with a code to access the student fee.
For registration, please input the discount code in the Promo Code field and click Apply. This will automatically show you the new price for the student ticket type.
Places will be awarded on a first come first served basis, if places are full, you will then be put on a waiting list.
4. Lower and Middle Income Countries (LMIC)
The DCC is delighted to announce that we will be offering a lower rate for attendees from Lower- and Middle-Income Countries.
To check if you qualify, please visit Wellcome for a full list of Lower-and Middle-Income Countries compiled by The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), who review the list three years.
To register as an LMIC participant, please first get in touch with the DCC by emailing info@dcc.ac.uk with a proof of address like a bank statement, utility bill, payslip, residence permit or lease agreement.
Conference Dinner and Drinks reception
The Conference Dinner will be held at the stunning Playfair Library on Tuesday 20 February and will include a three-course dinner with refreshments. Attendance to the conference dinner can be booked during registration at an additional fee of £75 (inclusive VAT). Places are limited.
The Drinks reception will be held at the Royal College of Physicians on February 19 2024. Attendance is included in your Conference ticket, but we require confirmation of attendance as places are limited and on a first come first served basis. You can confirm your attendance during registration in the Eventbrite form.
Methods of Payment
Eventbrite accepts credit or debit card and PayPal payments. You can buy up to 10 places in one transaction.
Paying by invoice
If you are unable to pay using Eventbrite, it is possible to request payment by invoice or bank transfer. We strongly encourage you to use Eventbrite if possible; an additional administration charge of £35 applies to invoice or bank transfer payments. Multiple delegates can be registered via one invoice and a single charge will apply. We must receive payment by 14 February 2024 if you use this method of payment.
For enquiries regarding payments by invoice please contact info@dcc.ac.uk. We will be in touch with you within 24 hours. Please note that the invoice will be sent from the University of Edinburgh. Additional documentation for your organisation to be set up as University of Edinburgh customer may be requested.
Deadline to request registration by invoice is 21 January 2024.
Cancellation Policy
Any cancellations made until 19 January 2024, will be accepted after deduction of the processing fees imposed by Eventbrite or the administration fee of £35 for the Invoice payment.
